Osprey and MtnStuff

Since 1992, MtnStuff has represented Osprey Packs in the Rocky Mountains. At that time, Osprey was a small, and virtually unknown brand in the pack world. Mike Pfotenhauer founded the company in 1974 in Santa Cruz, CA, making custom packs for those venturing into the wild. The company grew and Mike and his wife Diane moved to Dolores, CO in the early 90s, where the product was still hand crafted. MtnStuff has grown up with Osprey since that time and has watched and helped Osprey grow their sales exponentially.

Today, with production in 5-6 factories in Vietnam, and the headquarters in Cortez, CO, Osprey dominates the Outdoor Industry pack wall leading with innovation, value, and an All Mighty Guaranty that is unmatched for hardgoods in the industry. MtnStuff is proud to call Osprey its partner, and their founders Mike and Diane dear friends. MtnStuff secures bragging rights as the longest serving rep force for Osprey in the US, bested only by our Japanese distributor for top honors in the world! In the spring of 2015, MtnStuff was awarded with Osprey’s “Rep Agency of the Year,” and continues to grow the business in all areas of the brand.
