Robby Babbitt

I started this amazing life growing up in Bloomington, Indiana.  I was raised very close to my grandfather who was well into his forties when I was born. He realized very early that I was not exactly the “ball sports” kind of kid. Instead, he introduced me to the mountains with hiking, climbing and skiing. It was these activities, with the people I admired most that sparked my intrigue and passion for the outdoor world.  These days, my greatest joy in the outdoors comes from backcountry skiing, cycling and climbing. What I learned as a kid and know deeply as an adult is that being in the outdoors is not only about the activity you’re doing, but who you’re sharing the experiences with.

Little did my family know that adventuring in the outdoors would become an obsession that would last my lifetime.  I was lucky enough to spend three years in Europe hiking, climbing and skiing in several different countries during high school.  Through college I worked for climbing gyms, guide services and outfitters. Each job built upon one another and sealed the deal for my career in the outdoor industry.  I am grateful that I’ve built a life based on my oldest and deepest passion- “Adventurneering”.

For the last twenty years I have been lucky enough to work in the outdoor industry supporting my adventures by guiding, buying, managing retail, representing manufacturers and sales management.   I am psyched to be returning to the road and to work alongside the amazing folks that make this industry thrive.
